Video: Veteran avoids jail time for horrific crash
A Vietnam veteran has been handed an 18-months suspended sentence and a 2-year driving ban following a horrific car crash in Molendinar in 2017.
The incident occurred when the defendant swirled over onto the wrong side of the road and collided head on with a motorcyclist, leaving him in an induced coma for five weeks.
The defendant pleaded guilty to dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and has been ordered to pay the victim $5,000 in compensation.
